A Gentle Course Outline for information.

We often cover a lot of ground during these courses and students are invited to contribute and challenge. During these four weeks, we will explore the fundamentals of mark-making, gesture, the exterior; nature and the interior, domestic and personal space, and encounters with forms and edges. We’ll look at the Romantic notion of the external in nature reflecting the emotional interior life in us. The notion of the gaze, whose eyes are we seeing through? Social constructs and visual perception. Technical rendering; building the figure, structure, and scaffolding.
